Join the National TPS Alliance on a nationwide day of action to alert Congress of the waves of even more family separations that are coming in a matter of months as a result of TPS terminations! So far the Trump administration has terminated TPS for Honduras, Nicaragua, El Salvador, Sudán, Nepal, Haiti, Liberia, along with other immigrant relief programs. TPS terminations affects over 300,000 TPS holders and over 275,000 U.S-born children with a TPS parent.

On July 16, 2018 a delegation of Children of TPS holders, clergy and business owners are convening in Washington D.C to continue advocating against the separation of TPS Families - you can do your part too by taking action!

Here are the top 3 ways to take action:

1. Call your Members of Congress

Find your Senators and Representative by clicking here

Sample Script: "My name is [Name] and I am your constituent from [City, State]. I am calling to ask the [Senator/Representative] to support a permanent, legislative solution to protect all TPS holders and their families. There are over 275,000 U.S-born children with a TPS parent and they are vulnerable to family separation within months if Congress does not take action.  I urge the member and staff to learn more about the impact TPS terminations will have on our families and country by attending the National TPS Alliance briefing on July 19th."

2. Post on Social Media

Social Media if used correctly is an extremely powerful medium that can help advocate and create awareness on important issues. Below are some sample tweets, FB and IG post that you can share along with why you think it's important to keep TPS families together. If you’re a TPS holder its important to share your story on why it's important congress finds a permanent solution and keeps families together. Please follow, like and share content from National TPS Alliance.
