National TPS Alliance Responds to termination of TPS for Nicaragua
Los Angeles, California – The National TPS Alliance denounces the Administration’s decision to end the Temporary Protected Status (TPS) Program for Nicaraguans. This decision affects more than 5,000 Nicaraguans who have lived and worked in the U.S. under this protection for more than 18 years.
The National TPS Alliance issued the following statement regarding today’s decision by:
“As TPS holders of all countries, we unequivocally denounce the decision to terminate TPS for Nicaragua. We stand in solidarity with our Nicaraguan family and are committed to fighting this every step of the way. The TPS community must come together and join the national fight to Save TPS and to find a permanent solution to keep our families together.”
Edwin Murillo, TPS holder from El Salvador issued the following statement:
“We call on all TPSianos, all TPS Holders to join the movement to protect TPS. This moment requires all of us who are directly affected to take leadership and lead the fight to find a permanent solution to our legal limbo. We must not allow our families to be ripped apart and our communities to be left in shambles.”
